Hi,

As per your clinical history is concerned, do a clinical examination by your Doctor and to confirm the cause do investigation [CBC with differential] and if confirmed it is bacterial then discuss with your Doctor about prescription antibiotics [Clarithromycin]. Do take medication [Tylenol] as prescribed by your treating Doctor for fever and do warm saline gargle every 3 hours.

Do follow lifestyle modifications like this -
1) Try to clean your hands. Proper hand cleaning is the best way to prevent all kinds of infections. That's why it's important to clean your own hands regularly by using soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer.
2) Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze and drink plenty of water throughout the day.
3) Don't share personal items like drinking glasses or eating utensils. Wash those items carefully in hot, soapy water or in a dishwasher.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Uday Nath Sahoo,
